Making is practice

· ·

Our work is practice in coming to our senses, feeling into what we observe. Making is gentle; graceful moves for mixing, turning, warm pouring and wiping. Every piece is ‘so beautiful’, cradled with intimate knowing.

Our intent is imprinted in clays’ memory for eternity.

When cracks, warps, bloating or snags appear, joy meets epic devastation. We breathe into understanding what is, versus what the piece was meant to be. This insight usually appears after adults-only swearing, tantrums and tears subside.

Perhaps knowing you can try again is the feeling of being alive.
